GOLDEN STRIPED

ACREAGE BAMBOO

(Bambusa vulgaris 'Vittata')

Gold Painted is a part of our unique & unusual bamboo range of which we have a small selection available. These beautiful species of bamboo are not the popular types that sell on mass, but rather the specialised rarer varieties for bamboo enthusiasts and collectors.

Gold Painted large bamboo with striking green and gold striped culms. It covers a wide footprint, up to 5mtrs and looks best left natural to grow to its impressive size. It tends to have minimal lower foliage and an open clumping habit. It is suitable for large blocks or acreage, and is great for dam stability or to prevent soil erosion. It tends to look a bit grubby on the culms, but from a distance the gold stands out. This is not a 'feature' ornamental golden bamboo, but fantastic for acreage useabilty.

Gold Painted is very quick growing and extremely low maintenance once established. It is also very drought tolerant, so perfect for acreage.

Follow our bamboo planting guide (provided with your purchase) to achieve the best results. The guides are helpful and easy to follow, and assist you in achieving the best results in the shortest amount of time. Most of the effort in growing your bamboos is preparation and the first few months after planting.
