Bamboo Magic This School Holidays

School holidays are fast approaching and that means finding ideas to keep the kids entertained.

At Bamboo Down Under we made an outing with the little ones fun, easy and educational. Best of all, time wandering our Bamboo Forest is time spent screen-free, a constant battle for many parents these days!

Our gorgeous mountainside location has over 6 acres of gardens to roam including the calming effects of our magical bamboo forest and the fun of our bamboo maze. Here’s a little sneak peek;

Our Bamboo Maze

Have fun and lose yourself in our bamboo maze. Just when you think you’ve made it, there’s another dead end! It’s much trickier than it looks and will have the kids in fits of laughter trying to see who can escape first!

Our Magical Forest

The wonder of our magical bamboo forest is one that is not to be missed. Filled with different species of fully established bamboo, our forest is mesmerizing and brings a sense of calm and peacefulness. Along the way we have placed fun-filled facts about bamboo to read and enjoy, so that as well as a nice stroll, you can leave with a greater insight into the world of bamboo. It is always fun to challenge your friends and family afterwards and see how much they know!

Our Bamboo Species Garden

Our species garden contains many different types of bamboo; tall, short, skinny, big, rare, and common. While in the garden, be sure to snap a photo of the kids with our life-size, Penny the Panda!

Here you will also find an array of picnic tables to enjoy a bite to eat. You are welcome to bring your own food and enjoy morning tea or lunch at our site, however we do please ask that you are respectful of our grounds, staff members, other visitors and that all rubbish is disposed of correctly. We also have a vending machine for snacks and cold refreshments.

So many reasons to bring the kids these school holidays and enjoy all the fun Bamboo Down Under has to offer. We look forward to seeing you soon!
